Manhua

Manhua Taiwan Nianshi is a comic drawn by Kunishima Suiba, a Japanese cartoonist in Taiwan during Japanese rule, first released on January 17, 1931 and exhibited across Taiwan in 1940. Avanguard Publishing reissued it in 2000 with commentary by Taiwanese historian Dai Pao-tsun. It is the earliest known Taiwanese history comic, chronicling major events in Taiwan from 1895 to 1945.
