DanDoon
Manga
DanDoon is a Japanese manga by Miko Yasu, serialized in Morning (Kodansha) since issue 29 of 2023 (June 15). It depicts the upheavals of the late Edo period centered on Kawaji Toshiyoshi, the first chief of police (now Superintendent-General), called 'the father of the Japanese police'. The title is the sound of the gunshots marking the moments when the story's world shifts. Originally set to begin in October 2022, it was postponed eight months and began in June 2023.
