Manhua

The Situation in the Far East, also known as the Complete Map of the Current Situation, is a political cartoon from modern Chinese history. Drawn when China was close to being carved up by the foreign powers, it was meant as a warning to the Chinese people. It is generally attributed to Xie Zuantai (1872–1939), a member of the Revive China Society. There are three accounts of who wrote its inscription: an unnamed person from Guangdong, Xie Zuantai himself, or the late Qing statesman Huang Zunxian (1848–1905).
