Maji!
Manga
Maji! is a Japanese manga by Ayumi Tachihara, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion (Akita Shoten) from issue 38 of 1986 to issue 34 of 1996, adapted into a film, V-Cinema and anime. Side stories and sequels followed, and a final chapter, Maji! Shūshō Kayaku, has run in Young Champion since No. 3 of 2020. A rare full-fledged yakuza manga for a boys' magazine, it portrays its hero, Maji Shirogane, as a warm, pure-hearted champion of justice, holding back on the ambition, sex and illegal money-making common to yakuza stories.
